Welcome to the TECS Blog site

Here you will find all of the information that you will need regarding the TECS Blog site including the points system, uploading an avatar, etc.

So I have registered, what do I do now ?

1) Change your name. – When you first register your name will probably say something like Familia. To change this go the top of the page – My Account – Profile – Edit Profile, then change your name to your actual name so that your friends and monitor/teacher can see that its you and add you as a friend.

2) Change your Avatar. – At the moment your Avatar (profile picture) will be a little monster. To change it to a picture of yourself go to the top of the page – My Account – Profile – Change Avatar, then change your an avatar to a picture of you so that everybody can see that it is you.

3) Add your friends. – Go to http://blogs.tecs.es/members/ and search for your friends. They will have to have done steps 1 and 2 so that you can find them. You can also add someone as a friend by going into their profile and clicking "add friend" .

4) Look around the Blog site. – There are many different things to do and see around the blog site including groups, forums, activities, videos from the summer, etc. Have a look around and you can leave a comment on almost everything. If you have a problem you can send an email to tecscampres3@tecs.es

How to send a message ?

You can send messages to your friends in either of two ways: 1) Go to the top drop down menu – My Account – Messages – Compose. In the Send to box you will need to enter your friends username which can be found on their profile in the beside their name (e.g. @tecscampres3) 2) Go to your friends profile and click the “Send Private Message” button under Avatar.

What do the different headings do?

If you click on the Activity heading it will show you all of the most recent activity that has occured. This will include everything from new posts and activities that have been posted to comments that your friends and other people have posted. 

A member is anyone who is registered as a user to the TECS blog. By clicking on the members heading you can see the full list of all the members of the website, visit their profiles or even add them as a friend! 

A group is where a number of people join if they like the same thing or were a member of the same group. (E.G Blue team, or Magic Village) To make a group go to Groups – Create a new Group (at the top of the page)

A forum is where you can have a discussion about a number of different questions such as “Which is the best camp ?” with a number of different people. To make a new question/ topic go to Forums – Create a new Topic (at the top of the page)

Polls

Along the left you will see various different polls. Polls are questions posted asking different things like "What is your favourite evening entertainment?". You can answer these questions by clicking on one of the answers below to find out what everyone else has picked and to see what answer is winning. 

Virtual Competition

What are ic$?
Ic$ (pronounced as ics or intercamp stars) are a new virtual currency, a point system and a great way to stack up valuable credits for the incoming colour war!
How does it work? You do things online and you earn ic$. Leaving comments or doing activities all gain you ic$ and you can see how many points you have in your profile. At some point soon teams will be formed (for colour war), age groups, camps and all sort of other things in and out of camp. All these will count, but we can’t tell you all the rules yet!

Bienvendio a la TECS Blog

Aqui encontraras toda la información que vas a necesitar con respecto a la TECS Blog incluyendo la sistema de puntos, subiendo  un avatar, etc. Acabo de registrar, ahora que hago?

1) Cambiar su nombre. - Cuando primero te registras tu nombre saldrá con algo como Familia. Para cambiar esto tienes que a la parte superior de la pagina – My Account – Profile – Edit Profile, y cambiar tu nombre a tu nombre actual para que tus amigos y monitor/profesor pueden ver que  eres tu y añadirte como amigo.

2) Cambiar tu avatar. – Ahora tu avatar (foto de perfil) es uno de un monstro. Para cambiarlo a una foto tuya ir a la parte superior de la pagina – My Account – Profile – Change Avatar, y cambiarlo tu avatar a una foto tuya para que la gente pueden ver que eres tú.

3) Anadir a tus amigos. - Ir a http://blogs.tecs.es/members/ y buscar a tus amigos. Tendrán que haber hechos etapas 1 y 2 para poder encontrarles. También puedes añadir a alguien entrando a su perfil y haciendo clic en “add friend”.

4) Examinar la pagina Blog: - Hay muchas cosas diferentes de ver y hacer en la pagina blog incluyendo grupos, fórum, actividades, videos del verano y mucho mas, y también puedes dejar un comentario en casi todo! Si tienes algún problema puedes mandar un email a tecscampres3@tecs.es

Como mandar un mensaje ?

Puedes mandar mensajes a tus amigos en dos maneras:
1) Ir a la parte superior de la pagina – My account – Messages – Compose. En la caja “Send to” tendrás que poner el usuario de tu amigo, que se puede encontrar al lado de su nombre (e.g. @tecscampres3)
2) Ir al perfil de tu amigo y hacer clic en “Send Private Message” debajo de su avatar.

Que hacen los diferentes titulos?

Si haces clic en el titulo 'Activity' te enseñara todo la actividad mas recente que a ocurrido en la pagina blog. Incluira todo como entradas y actividades hasta nuevos comentario que tus amigo, y otra gente habra hechos. 
 

Un 'member' (o miembro) es cualquier persona que esta registrado  en la pagina blog. Si haces clic en el members titulo podras ver una lista completa de todos los miembros de la pagina, visitar sus perfiles, o tambien añadirles como amigo!

Un grupo es donde mucha gente se juntan si le gustan la misma cosa un si fueran miembros del mismo grupo (e.g. Blue team o Magic Village) Para creer un nuevo grupos ir a Groups – Create a new Group (en la parte superior de la pagina)

Un fórum es donde se puede tener un discurso sobre muchas diferentes preguntas como “cual es el mejor campamento de TECS?” con mucha gente distinta. Para creer un nuevo pregunta ir a Forums – Create new topic (en la parte superior de la pagina)

Polls

Por la izquierda de la pagina puedes ver diferentes 'polls'. Polls son preguntas sobre diferentes cosas como "Que es tu evening entertainment favorito?". Puedes contestar si haces clic en una de las repuestas para ver que a respondido otra gente y para ver que repuesta esta ganando.

Competición Virtual

Que son ic$? Ic$ (pronunciado como ics o intercamp starts [estrellas de intercamp]) son la nueva moneda virtual, una sistema de puntación y una manera excelente de ganar puntos para el color war que viene! Como funcionan? Haces cosas en la pagina blog TECS y ganas ic$. Dejando comentarios y haciendo las actividades te ganan ic$ y se puede ver cuántos puntos tienes en tu perfil. Dentro de poco los equipos se formaran, grupos de edades, campamentos y mucho mas. Todas de estas cosas contaran pero no te podemos decir todas la reglas todavía.
